The History of Seaquest DSV
Though it lasted only three seasons, Seaquest DSV is well remembered by Science Fiction TV fans for its creative and original view of the future. In the year 2032, man has conquered the last frontier on Earth: below the sea. Starring Roy Scheider of Jaws fame and a young Jonathan Brandis, Seaquest DSV combined high drama with believable science fiction. Scheider is Captain Nathan Bridger of Seaquest DSV, a high-tech submarine that patrols the depths of the ocean for evil-doers. In each episode the DSV crew narrowly survives a brush with danger many leagues below the sea. Though it enjoyed early popularity, this 90s TV Show saw its ratings take a plunge. Seaquest DSV was cancelled abruptly in 1996.
