The History of Monk

Thanks to the brilliant acting of Tony Shalhoub, Monk is one of the highest-rated shows every to appear on USA Network.  The TV Detective Series is centered on Adrian Monk, a brilliant San Francisco detective who also happens to suffer from obsessive-compulsive disorder.  On leave from the force because of his mental issues, Monk sets off with his nurse/friend to work as a freelance detective, hoping to prove to his former boss that he deserves a second chance.  Monk holds the record for the most-watched scripted drama episode in cable television history, a record it broke during its series finale. The TV Crime Show ended its seven-year run in 2009.
