The History of Green Arrow
Green Arrow, also known as Emerald Archer, has developed a cult-like following among comic book fans since his DC Comics debut in 1941. The guardian of Star City and an original member of the Justice League of America—which includes Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman—is the best archer in the DC Universe. Inspired by the classic image of Robin Hood, Green Arrow is a caped superhero who uses his bow and arrow to fight for the little people and vanquish his evil foes. His DC Comics character was prominently featured in the animated series “Justice League Unlimited” in the 2000s and the “Batman” series. Though Green Arrow was developed as an archery-themed analogue of Batman, he’s developed a following all his own.
