The History of Martian Manhunter
Martian Manhunter debuted in DC Comics in 1955 as J’onn J’onzz, a visitor from the planet Mars who was stranded on Earth. An original member of the Justice League of America, Martian Manhunter appears in Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman comic books. In the current DC Comics continuity, many of his powers are similar to those of Superman, including super-strength, flight, invulnerability, super-breath and Martian vision. Superman called Martian Manhunter “the most powerful being on the face of the earth.” Martian Manhunter has been a Justice League mainstay, appearing in all versions of the superhero roster from the beginning until today.
