Swamp People, the three season reality/documentary series, premiered on the History Channel in 2010. This series followed a group of Cajuns in a swamp area of Louisiana as they hunted alligators. With a 30 day season beginning in early September, these men and women work to profit from their dangerous alligator hunt. Excitement tends to overshadow danger in this traditional hunting venture.
