Also known as the Scarlet Speedster, the title of The Flash has been wielded by four different Superheroes—all with incredible speed. In 1956, DC Comics successfully revived the superhero genre, bringing about the Silver Age of Comic Books. Rather than bringing back the same Golden Age heroes, DC Comics reimagined them as new characters for the modern age. The Flash was the first revival. He’s been one of DC Comics’ most popular and recognized characters ever since.
