The History of Tic Tac Dough
By putting a new spin on the age-old pen-and-paper game, Tic Tac Dough became a popular TV Game Show that spanned four decades. Three versions of Tic Tac Dough appeared on television, the first from 1956-1959, the second from 1978-1986, and the final in 1990. Tic Tac Dough has featured several memorable hosts including Jack Barry, Wink Martindale and Patrick Wayne. The original Tic Tac Dough was caught up in controversy over producers fixing the outcome of the show, the same controversy that was featured in the 1990s film Quiz Show. Despite this early setback, Tic Tac Dough returned to entertain the next generation of TV Game Show fans in the 70s and 80s. Different versions of Tic Tac Dough have appeared in countries all across the globe.
